St. Moritz, April 4, 2019
He trained them all: Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Ernie Els, and Bernhard Langer. He showed them how ? that's the way he earned the title "the king of swing." David Leadbetter is one of the leading golf teachers in the world. His groundbreaking training methods revolutionized the game. Now the 67-year-old Briton will be distinguished for his lifetime achievement at the St. Moritz U.S. Celebrity Golf Cup for the Ryder Cup Trust. At the end of the tournament ? (22-25, 2019) ? which gives amateurs the chance to play alongside twenty-four golf celebrities from the US and Europe ? David Leadbetter will also teach guests.

"It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to stage this event together with the Ryder Cup in honor of David Leadbetter 's lifetime achievement award at our courses in the Engadine," says Ramun Ratti, executive director of Golf Engadin St. Moritz AG. David Leadbetter's teaching methods have revolutionized the game all over the world. In the 1990s, he started a trainer-student-team with Nick Faldo. For the next thirteen years, he kept teaching Faldo, who twice won the Open Championship and also secured the Green Jacket at Masters three times, laying the foundation stone of his teaching career. Since 2014 David Leadbetter has also been training Lydia Ko. With his many articles, books, and videos for amateur golfers, the man with the straw hat became known to a wide audience. His teaching methods are disseminated exclusively through his sixteen international golf academies.
